Group Leader-Adult Day Services

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Experience with autistic and/or autistic-like adults.
  3. Valid Driver’s License.
  4. Alternatives to these qualifications as deemed acceptable under the discretion of the Program Director.
  5. Fully Vaccinated

Reports To:  Program Coordinator / QMRP

Job Duties:

  1. To work with all members of the interdisciplinary team to determine suitable programming.
  2. Help to establish vocational, recreational, and volunteer work opportunities for each participant within an integrated, community based setting.
  3. Arrange daily classroom schedules and staff assignments to ensure that adequate staffing ratios are maintained.
  4. Demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques and procedures.
  5. Demonstrate, write and utilize effective task analysis to teach behavioral chains.
  6. Ensure that behavioral and programmatic data is being recorded as specified in participant’s plans.
  7. Supervise and teach assistants, substitute staff and inters effectively. In-service these staff in participant treatment plans, methods of data collection and special participant needs.  Provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
  8. Compile and maintain pertinent information for all participants in an organized manner.
  9. Organize an effective, safe and clean physical environment for participants and other staff.
  10. Assist behavior analyst in the development of reinforcement plans for participants to increase adaptive and decrease maladaptive behaviors
  11. Attend Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and be prepared to discuss each individual’s progress, and help determine appropriate remediation in deficit areas.
  12. Maintain and document regular contacts with participants’ families and residential staff.
  13. Document incident and occurrence reports and ensure that program participants receive the appropriate medical care as needed.
  14. Transport participants to and from program and job/recreational sites when assigned.
  15. Additional responsibilities as determined by the Director of Adult Services.
  • Driving/Transportation of participants is a requirement of the above position.  Before you drive for Eden II/Genesis, you must receive written authorization from the Human Resources Department.
