The Nicotra Group is a developer on Staten Island’s West Shore operating hotels, event spaces, restaurants, and multiple class A commercial facilities. Their many properties feature extensive landscaping and show gardens hosting high-end outdoor events. Bloomfield Conservancy is a not-for-profit maintaining South Avenue and surrounding public properties in the heart of Staten Island’s West Shore. Together, they seek to maintain The Corporate Park of Staten Island at a level appropriate to Class-A office space and high-end hospitality.

With hundreds of acres under management, The Nicotra Group is looking to build a horticulture/groundskeeping staff to in-source all landscape maintenance. We are looking for team members passionate about gardening and groundskeeping to take our many outdoor spaces to the next level. A great opportunity for individuals looking to make their mark in the world of horticulture and landscape maintenance.

Multiple full-time and seasonal positions available at all levels which can be tailored to an individual candidate’s skill set. Competitive compensation appropriate to skill level, education, and experience.


All gardening and landscape maintenance tasks appropriate to the level of employment (qualified candidates will have a firm idea of what those are). Maintaining a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. All positions, including leadership roles, require hands-on work.


  • One year minimum employment history in horticulture and/or landscape maintenance.
  • Ability to take direction and work within a team atmosphere.
  • Leadership skills a must for any supervisory role.
  • Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in good standing, and maintain that license throughout employment.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week and flexibility to work weekends and special events as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Degree/Certification in horticulture or related field a plus.
  • Preference is given to Staten Island residents and those willing to relocate to the borough.
