  • Prepare assigned products and components including buttercream icing, chocolate icing, banana pudding components and finished banana pudding, red velvet icing components and finished icing, cream-cheese icings, and other assigned preparations.
  • Pop cheesecakes, shred carrots, chop and toast nuts, and prepare ingredients for crisps, pies, and other menu items.
  • Maintain consistent product quality by following recipes, measurements, preparation methods, and production procedures exactly.
  • Stock the prep area with ingredients and supplies required for the shift, including butter, milk, Nilla Wafers, bananas, coconut, nuts, storage containers, utensils, and other necessary items.
  • Prepare and stock necessary goods for the following prep shift, including ensuring butter and other ingredients are appropriately prepared for upcoming production.
  • Monitor inventory levels of icings, fillings, ingredients, and prep supplies and replenish them as necessary.
  • Communicate production progress throughout the day to the Production Manager/Floor Supervisor.
  • Promptly communicate low-stock items, shortages, out-of-stock products, or potential production concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and production-ready prep area, including walls, tables, mixers, floors, equipment, and work surfaces.
  • Sweep and mop the prep area and complete assigned cleaning responsibilities.
  • Follow safe food-handling practices and all safety procedures related to equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Safely operate and monitor appropriate production equipment, including mixers, choppers, slicers, and other assigned equipment.
  • Sanitize work areas and equipment during and after use.
  • Once assigned prep responsibilities are completed, proactively assist other BOH team members.
  • Support the production team by popping cupcakes from pans, wrapping cupcakes, stocking and cleaning baker refrigerators, and assisting Bakers, Porters, and Cake Icers as needed.
  • Contribute to a supportive kitchen culture where the team works together to complete production successfully.

  • Comfortable taking direction while asking questions whenever clarification is needed.
