Position Overview

3 Bites Sandwich is looking for a reliable and motivated team member to join our kitchen staff. This position will be responsible for preparing made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with basic food prep and cooking, maintaining inventory, and helping keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

We are looking for someone with basic food preparation experience who works well in a team environment, takes direction, and maintains a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and build sandwiches to order

• Complete basic food preparation and cooking for sandwich ingredients

• Follow all NYC Department of Health food safety and sanitation standards

• Follow established prep sheets, inventory sheets, and order sheets

• Monitor and maintain food and supply inventory

• Keep kitchen, prep stations, and work areas clean, neat, and organized

• Wash prep ware, utensils, and other kitchen items as needed

• Properly handle, store, and rotate food and ingredients

• Assist with daily opening, operating, and closing kitchen tasks as assigned

• Work cooperatively with other team members to provide efficient service

Qualifications

• Current New York City Food Protection Certificate or ServSafe certification required

• Basic food preparation and kitchen knowledge

• Basic knife skills

• Ability to listen, follow instructions, and take direction well

• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team

• Neat and clean appearance

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

The shop is currently open Tuesday through Saturday, with work hours falling between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered. Hours will vary based on availability and the needs of the business.

Compensation

$17-$22 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, availability, and full-time or part-time status.
