Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary or Middle School Special Education Teachers to join our dynamic educational team. Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with the Gen Ed teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Educate students using a variety of instructional techniques and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and challenges.
- Create a positive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s educational journey.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques that promote a safe and productive learning environment.
License/Certification:
- NYS Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Degree in Special Education
Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
