Drivers and Bus Matrons

It takes someone special to join our team of over 650 qualified staff providing services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities! The mission of AVSP, for more than 50 years, is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fuller lives through comprehensive programs and services offering guidance, support, and opportunities for achieving independence, self-fulfillment, and full community inclusion. The following positions are open:

Part time on-call positions for Drivers and Bus Matrons

Early morning, afternoon and evening shifts and occasional Saturdays are available.

Pick up individuals who will be attending one of AVSP's IDD programs and transport them safely to their program site and then provide return trip.

Ensure individuals are safely secured in their seats.

Ensure safe driving protocols.

Operate wheelchair lifts and secure mobility devices.

Assist individuals in boarding and exiting vehicles.

Ability to remain calm and manage passenger behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Drivers: Valid Driver's License with clean record, CDL a Plus, HS/GED required.

Matrons: HS/GED required.
