Seeking Middle School ELA Teacher: 7:45 am start - Great time and attendance, good work ethic, team player, learner, compassionate, good communication skills, positive attitude, energetic and good classroom management skills.

The Middle School History Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the History/Social Studies curriculum for grades 6–8
  • Utilizing effective classroom management strategies to foster a structured, respectful, and positive learning environment
  • Designing and administering formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding of historical concepts and using data to inform and differentiate instruction
  • Collaborating with grade-level and interdisciplinary team members to plan integrated units, coordinate cross-curricular activities, and monitor student growth
  • Creating an inclusive learning environment that emphasizes individualized instruction, including appropriate accommodations and modifications to support diverse learners
  • Encouraging critical thinking, historical analysis, research skills, and civic engagement through discussion, projects, and inquiry-based learning
  • Maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians through conferences, school events, phone calls, and written updates
  • Administering state and standardized assessments in accordance with district and state guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Adolescent Education (Gr. 7-12) or related degree within the field of Education
  • NYS Teaching License or related teaching license within the field of Education
  • Fingerprint clearance
