This position is responsible for directing and ensuring regulatory compliance for the residential program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure all measures for safety and well-being are maintained at highest level; provide overall direction, guidance and supervision to Residential Managers, Nurses, QIDP, and Behavioral Intervention Specialists (BIS); conduct weekly clinical/staff meetings with assigned managers and clinical team; participate in interviews, evaluations, orientation, training, and performance counseling of subordinates; evaluate house managers to ensure assigned responsibilities are met; ensure program actions are conducted in a manner that prevents abuse; maintain training records; respond to program and work related questions, problems and complaints from staff, and families; ensures that assigned sites are kept clean, neat, healthy and safe; in conjunction with the Director of Programs develop policies and procedures; represent the agency at committee and outside meetings; prepare various concise written reports; conducts investigations at other agency sites; develop and secure approval of and monitors budget; oversee subordinate management; prepare for outside regulatory audits; check data to ensure accuracy, review and submit billing; monitor Personal needs allowance; monitor and approve over time; responsible for corrections/changes to bring residence into full regulatory compliance; coordinate all admission/discharge procedures; suggest recommendations on new programs and services to be offered; ensure all Individuals attend daily activities; check community inclusion logs to ensure compliance; ensure Person Centered Planning; conduct Fire Drills as required; conduct unannounced site visits and generate a written report.
SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; high level of interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, Individuals, families, regulatory agencies, and other outside contacts; must be able to maintain strict confidentiality; proficiency in the use of personal computers, appropriate software and Email system; excellent analytical ability and ability to multi- task; travel as needed; excellent problem solving skills; Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Psych/Social, or in a related Social Services OR a degree in Nursing as a Registered Nurse Field; 5 years’ experience in working with Developmentally Disabled; On – call 24/7 Must have own transportation; schedule dictated by needs of the Individuals and home. Each site must be visited no less than twice weekly.
