Bus Driver (Part Time)

Under the supervision of the Director, and in coordination with the Full-Time Bus Driver, perform all duties related to the provision of transportation services for the CCSI Senior Centers (Anderson & West Brighton Neighborhood Senior Centers) and are responsible for the maintenance of the senior center vehicles.  Duties include: responsible for the safe transport of participants to/from their homes and the centers; safe transport of participants for recreational purposes; responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the center vehicles; responsible for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly paperwork and reports; responsible for the collection and reporting of daily transportation revenues; responsible for making bank deposits/trips to stores for purchases for the program/trips to the post office and any other errands deemed necessary to help the program function efficiently.

This is a part-time position at 21 paid hours per week. Days of work are generally Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 7:30am-3:30pm.  Flexibility is required for other weekdays and for additional hours of coverage when the Full-Time Driver is on leave. May be requested to work Cooling Center operations during mandatory evening and weekend hours.   

Qualifications/Experience required: HS Diploma or GED; current CDL-C license with a Passenger endorsement; 3 years driving experience in NY City; must have no more than one moving violation in the past 24 months; no driving-related convictions; ability to assist individuals on and off the bus; must be able to work well with seniors and take suggestions; must complete the CPR and AED training yearly.
