Busy and growing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery office in Staten Island, NY is looking for an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the growth of the practice. The candidate for this position is a self-starter, excellent communicator, and a team player with outstanding customer service and organizational skills. Exemplary attendance, reliability and timeliness is also required. We specialize in dentoalveolar surgery such as wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting and have a heavy emphasis on dental implants.
Qualifications
· Treatment Plan Coordinator: 1 year experience (Preferred)
· Experience with DSN - (Preferred but not required)
· Oral Surgery: 1 year (Preferred)
· The candidate for this position is a self-starter, excellent communicator, and a team player with outstanding customer service and organizational skills
· Exemplary attendance, reliability and timeliness is also required
· Ability to take initiative and work independently
· Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments

Responsibilities Include:
Treatment Plan Coordinator
· Enter the treatment plan with proper coding into the Patient Management System (DSN) as per doctor instructions.
· Determine dental benefit eligibility, limitations, and payment estimates necessary to facilitate financial arrangements.
· Explain treatment options, present fees and related costs for treatment and answer questions as needed. Ensure patients fully understand their treatment plan and overcome any objections to proposed treatment.
· Discuss dental insurance benefits when applicable.
· Ensure pre-authorization from insurance companies is obtained when needed.
· Document financial arrangements/commitments to pay.
· Have knowledge of insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
· Work closely with Insurance Verifier and Billing Coordinator.
· Track patients who have pending and incomplete treatment.
· Assist in other office tasks as needed.
