Hostess/Cashier

Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to checkout. Responsibilities:

- Greet guests warmly and check them in or out of the hotel as necessary
- Handle front desk duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing any guest inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with cash handling and operate the hotel's point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby area, ensuring that it is free of clutter and mess
- Provide helpful information to guests about the hotel's amenities and services
- Collaborate with other hotel staff members to ensure a high level of hospitality and service
- Monitor and respond to any issues or incidents that may arise in the lobby area

Requirements:

- Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment, preferably in a front desk or host/cashier role
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle any guest complaints or issues
- Basic knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
- Proficiency with a point-of-sale system
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
- Familiarity with hotel hospitality and guest services
- Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food and beverage certification is an asset
- Experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel environment is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
