Job purpose

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans.

We are seeking a highly organized, solution-driven leader to oversee all aspects of our development projects from pre-construction through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and project management, with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects while maintaining attention to detail, timelines, and budgetary goals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all current and future development projects, ensuring alignment with construction timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and support the department cross-functional teams, including directors, project managers, administrators, and assistants.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, on schedule, and on budget.
  • Independently manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Oversee all phases of development—from initial planning through deployment and completion—by defining project scope, estimating budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring proper execution.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload across multiple projects.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in planning, documentation, and execution.
  • Regularly report to the Senior Vice President, HVP on project status, identifying and escalating issues as needed related to timelines, budget constraints, or operational risks.
  • Strategize with the Senior Vice President, HVP on expansion opportunities, particularly for renovation and new construction projects in key U.S. metropolitan areas.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and property managers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Work collaboratively with Tunnel to Towers infrastructure team (IT) to ensure Foundation needs are reflected in the designs.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Cultivate partnerships with third-party vendors and in-kind donors to support project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, construction, development, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CCM, CPC, or PPM are strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage data effectively.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (or equivalent)
  • Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.

Working conditions

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
