Overview
Sundog Theatre is looking for versatile and flexible teaching artists for the 2025-2026 school year, who are excited to be part of a creative team and are passionate about bringing the arts to children.

Responsibilities

Applicants should have experience working with youth in theatre programs. The ideal candidate will possess good classroom management skills. This is a part-time position during school hours or after school from 2-4pm.

Experience

  • Proficiency in their own fields of art and be able to teach their discipline/s to young people that range from K-12th grades.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to create and implement successful lesson plans.
  • Experience teaching K-12th grade range required.
  • Experience in NYC schools is preferred.
  • Applicants should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers.
  • Experience with special needs children and English Language Learners is desirable but not required.
  • Experience incorporating NY State Learning Standards and the NYC Blueprints for Teaching & Learning in the Arts is desirable but not required.
  • Spanish fluency is desirable but not required.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
