Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

Must be duly licensed as an RN in NYS, and preferably have at least one year of RN experience. Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred. Must be willing to be part of the On Call rotation.

• MONDAY-FRIDAY - Build your schedule between 7am-6pm - Must work at least one early day and late day during the week.

Job Description:

Under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor, the RN will be responsible for the overall administration of files/records, medication management, routine nursing services, identification & assessment of health problems of adults with developmental disabilities in a Group Home setting.

• Maintain communication between physicians, family, pharmacy regarding medical directives
• Ensure all medical orders and follow up recommendations are completed in a timely fashion
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings and activities
• Provide oversight of DSP's in the areas of resident health and medication/medical administration
• Provide staff trainings on policies and protocols relating to health and safety
• Remain audit ready by adhering to all OPWDD and Agency regulations regarding resident medical care
• Position will be split between two group homes on Staten Island
