Special Education Teacher

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Staten Island, NY. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, adapting teaching methods to meet each student's needs, and providing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to monitor student progress and communicate effectively about student performance. The role involves teaching middle school students and focusing on their educational and social development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Special Education and working with students with Disabilities
• Skills in Teaching and knowledge of Creative Curriculum
• Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree is advantageous
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
