Job Opening – Carousel Manager 

Carousel for All Children, Willowbrook Park 

The Greenbelt Conservancy seeks a Manager to oversee daily shifts at the Carousel for All Children in Willowbrook Park. The Carousel will open seasonally May through October with mostly Thursday thru Sunday work schedules.

The ideal candidate will possess: supervisory experience, ability or experience in operating cash registers, ability to track and order inventory, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. The position requires standing or being on your feet for possibly more than twenty minutes, and possibly lifting and moving objects weighing over 10 lbs. 

The Carousel for All Children is maintained by the Greenbelt Conservancy in partnership with NYC Parks. The Greenbelt Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization that works in partnership with NYC Parks to promote, sustain and enhance Staten Island's 2,800-acre Greenbelt through education, recreation, conservation and research.  

DUTIES:

• Oversight of staff
• Ensure the safety of all visitors and staff
• Establish and maintain staff work schedule for preseason tasks and in season (June - October) operations. Review and approve weekly time sheets.
• Order and maintain inventory of beverages, food, gifts, tickets, vouchers and maintenance supplies
• Balance and review daily cash receipts and make regular bank deposits
• Ensure compliance with NYC Health Department regulations and be prepared for regular visits from Health Dept. Inspectors
• Foster a pleasant and courteous attitude toward staff and visitors 

Starting Salary is $22 - $25 per hour. The Greenbelt Conservancy is an equal opportunity employer.
