We are seeking an Entitlement Specialist/Administrative Assistant to join our team of caring professionals.

The Entitlement Specialist/Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Admissions and Entitlement Coordinator and is responsible for carrying out day-to-day organizational tasks and facilitating efficient communication within the Finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Provides comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of a busy office.
  • Set up and maintain department files.
  • Responsible for memos, correspondence, invoices, receipts, spreadsheets, and other reports as needed.
  • Set-up for meetings/conferences.
  • Ensure department database and filing systems are up to date and organized.
  • Attend department meetings. 
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Candidate should have exceptional communication skills, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Works closely with Entitlements Coordinator to maintain eligibility for individuals’ benefits and entitlements with Medicaid, Social Security and Medicare.
  • Assists Entitlements Coordinator with benefits renewals.
  • Reviews all personal allowances on a regular basis.
  • Oversee distribution and receipt of the Clothing allowance funds.
  • Review consumer’s bank account balance on a regular basis to comply with Social Security Administration policies.
  • Keep abreast of public policy issues and new developments in the field. Attend information training and seminars to remain current on trends and entitlements systems change.
  • All other duties necessary to provide continuous service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
