We are seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team of caring professionals.

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services on any and all issues related to the Individuals served and their behavioral status.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Report directly to Director of Clinical Services on any and all issues relating to the Individuals served and their behavioral status.
  • Formulate an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to clients’ cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs for assigned caseload.
  • Provide tools such as reinforcement and conditioning to encourage positive behaviors or address aggressive, harmful or maladaptive behaviors.
  • Provide staff training for DSP employees on behavioral techniques and strategies, person centered approaches, and individual specific behavior plans.
  • On-call via Agency phone 24/7.
  • Have working knowledge of NYS OPWDD Rules and Regulations governing the care of Individuals residing in and attending Community Resource programs.
  • Follow Agency policies and procedures regarding Individual’s care.
  • Have working knowledge of Individual’s diagnosis and plans of care.
  • Review clinic forms and behavioral data for trends and discrepancies. Review data for all behavioral programs and modify plans as needed.
  • Provide work schedule to Director of Clinical Services and notify them with schedule changes.
  • Supervise Direct Support Staff in caring for the Individuals with behavioral issues and providing therapeutic targeted interventions and procedures.
  • Document findings and results in on-going notes as needed and as per standards of care.
  • Consult with and participate as members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • The ABSS shall participate in the planning and implementation of training for facility personnel, including:
    1. Understanding Behavior
    2. Human Growth and Development
    3. Human Sexuality
    4. General and specific characteristics of DD/Dual diagnosis
    5. Individual Specific Behavioral Plans
    6. Data Collection and Prompt Levels
  • Complete Psychiatric Clinic forms with current information for upcoming psychiatric appointments.
  • Oversee the scheduling of Psychiatric and Counseling appointments and follow through on recommendations.
  • Attend Psychiatric appointments in person.
  • Oversee clinic staff in so far as behavioral area only.
  • Communicate on an on-going and as needed basis with the treatment team.
  • Obtain consents for Behavioral plans and medications on at least an annual basis and as needed.
  • Prepare packets and present them to the Human Rights Committee.
  • Participate as member of Incident Review Committee and Admission /Discharge Committee on as needed basis.
  • Attending training sessions for professional development.

Must have a master's degree in a field of Psychology approved by the Department of Education

Must have a BCBA certification.

 

Pay Rate: $100,000 annually
